The Sun Logo and Colors
The future changes every day.
Day for Descendants hopes to improve future conditions for people and places. For better or worse today’s actions change the future. The sun logo and its black background represent a few related ideas:
-The sun is a source of life and provides a paradigm for sustaining our relative biological life balance here on earth now. Conditions are changing faster than in any time in human history.
-For Day for Descendants, the sun in the logo is a symbol represents a mindfulness touchstone which can be used to ground decisions.
-Yellow: the sun’s light in our atmosphere appears with a yellow hue.
-Black: Black is lack of color. Symbolically, black often represents difficulty or death.
-Something like for the Taoist YinYang symbol (Tai Chi or Taijitu in China), the sun and black background are intended to keep opposites and balance in mind, including outcomes both good and bad. Future generations may experience one or the other, or both over time, depending in large part by our actions.
-The Day for Descendants Art and Altar logo will evolve. Everything evolves.
